Insect and bee friendly varieties

Insects are a central part of our food production and indispensable for ecological balance. However, bee and bumblebee species have had massive problems in foraging for food in recent decades. Part of the reason for this is the dwindling proportion of wildflower meadows and flower-filled fallow land in today’s cultivated landscape. Flowering green areas in our gardens can make an important contribution here.
