Radish

Moolis are valued as a vegetable that is particularly rich in vitamins, minerals and enzymes. Spread across Europe and Asia, there is a large and interesting range of varieties with numerous colors and shapes. In Switzerland, the round black radish was imitially primarily cultivated as a medicinal plant. But this cruciferous vegetable has long since also made it onto our plates as a raw vegetable, cooked in curries or in sweet and sour pickles.

There are radishes for spring and autumn cultivation. Cover with crop netting or fleece to protect against pests. Fresh organic fertilizer attracts cabbage maggots. Maintain crop rotation to avoid black root. Water adequately and evenly. Mulch on light, sandy soils.
