Bioverita

Bioverita

‘Organic right from the start’ is bioverita’s claim.  The association has been engaged in promoting being organic throughout the entire value chain since 2010, from breeding to the end product. That makes them unique. Bioverita is a platform for the most important organic growers in Europe and facilitates networking. At the same time, the association uses projects, events and public relations work to inform stakeholders in agriculture, processing and trade about the need for organic breeding. Thanks to this work, more and more consumers are enjoying pure lines varieties.

Bioverita certifies varieties that meet the high requirements for organic or bio-dynamic breeding and are optimally adapted to the conditions of organic farming. For this, all work stages must be carried out on organic farms. Genetic engineering is, of course, excluded. Compliance is guaranteed by auditing and regular controls.

Domestic and commercial gardeners in particular benefit from bioverita varieties because of their health, robustness and resistance to fungal diseases, as well as the ability to produce their own vegetable, fruit and grains seeds. The plants yield both flavorsome and highly nutritional produce and are more robust against climate changes. By buying and growing organic seeds, variety is promoted, organic farming is enhanced and its independence is ensured.
