Balcony plants

Balcony plants

Apart from flowers and herbs, some vegetables can also be grown easily on balconies and terraces. In the spirit of urban gardening, there are only a few plants of each variety but in a colorful mix, next to or on top of each other, growing in the smallest of spaces and transforming your balcony into a green oasis. There are a few things to bear in mind about balcony gardening. The balcony should preferably face south if possible, the air should be able to circulate and the container, i.e. pot, box, sack, mini raised bed or tetrapack, should suit the plant. For example, carrots or other root vegetables prefer to grow in tall containers while lettuce will happily grow shallower planters. The varieties chosen should tend towards space-saving plants, especially on small balconies. The varieties of each plant suggested here only represent a small selection. The full range can be found in the shop.
