Gardening made simple

Not a lot of experience or little time but still want to grow some vegetables, herbs and flowers? There are a lot of vegetable varieties which make gardening really easy. Vegetables such as peas, pumpkins or spinach are not too demanding and easy to care for. Growing salads or beans is extremely simple and only a few rules need to be followed. This means that you can harvest fine vegetables from your own garden with little effort. These varieties almost guarantee success. If available, use the seed aids (seed tapes, seed discs or seed carpets), which significantly simplify sowing. The varieties of each plant suggested here only represent a small selection. Insect Buffet - Green manure

Mixture of flowering plants for boundary strips. Does not contain cruciferous plants, but leguminous ones as well as other insect feeding varieties: Buckwheat, phacelia, sunflowers, borage, narrowleaf lupin, trifolium alexandrinum, persian clover, common vetch, serradella, common motherwort, dill, mallow.

Traditional, versatile mixture of looseleaf varieties from France. Contains: oakleaf lettuce red and green, endive, garden lettuce , rocket, erba stella, and leaf batavia.

Linseed 'Blaues Wunder' - Green manure

Traditional, undemanding cultivated plant. Wonderful blue flowers in the mornings. For seed production sow in March/April. For green manure until August. Main impact as green manure due to rotation of plant families.

Low, medium early, high-yield sugar snap pea. The small, slightly curved pods are sweet and very tasty. They can be eaten whole.

Orange Marigold - Annual flowers

Calendula officinalis. Medicinal and decorative. Semi-full orange flowers. Good as a cut flower. Approx. 50 cm high. In traditional medicine recommended to treat injuries.

Variety with multiple branches and simple flowers which range in a wide spectrum of browns and yellows. Staggered sowing will produce extended flowering periods. Depending on when sown, grows up to 2 metres in height.
